Extraverted Feeling, or ‘Fe’, is a judging function that’s often correlated with ddd.

  • It’s the primary function of ESFJs and ENFJs
  • It’s the auxiliary function of ISFJs and INFJs
  • It’s the tertiary function of ESTPs and ENTPs
  • It’s the inferior function of ISTPs and INTPs

Fe assists in evaluating information by orienting to the dynamics of social harmony.

When a person uses Fe in a mature way, they remain connected to their emotions in order to produce the most harmonious outcome despite the experience of tension or negative energy. People using extraverted feeling in this way will tend to appear as socially intelligent leaders.

When Fe is used in an immature way, it recoils from tension and negative emotions. People using extraverted feeling in this way can appear overly shy, avoidant, dramatic or inauthentic.
